July 13, 2022: From a posting on Facebook: Avonworth Historical Society is looking for new members and donations
The Avonworth Historical Society is looking for new members and donations to raise money for some much-needed repairs at the Dickson Log House! It has been 40 years since the log house was discovered under siding, taken down and reconstructed at its current location. Now it is in need of a new cedar shake roof, a new retaining wall and runoff drainage system behind the log house, chimney work and a log preservation treatment. Will you help by becoming a member (be sure to leave your address so we can send you our quarterly newsletter) and/or making a donation online at avonworth-history.org.
Memberships begin at the $25 per year level and provide you with our Chronicle newsletter and announcements about our free public lectures.
You can help us preserve this historic structure for the next several generations to enjoy! Thank you for your support!
